The top quark legacy of the LHC Run II for PDF and SMEFT analyses

complementary results

Here you can find additional results from The top quark legacy of the LHC Run II for PDF and SMEFT analyses (link).

In the link above we list results for Wilson coefficients and/or PDFs in four different folders. These results include histograms of Wilson coefficients, kernel density estimations, confidence intervals, correlations between the Wilson coefficients and with PDFs, PDF luminosities, etc.

A detailed description of these results can be found in the original manuscript.

The folders are the following:

1 – fixedPDF_cons : Results for Wilson coefficients using the conservative fixed-PDF set defined in Sect. 2.1 of the manuscript, which excludes top quark measurements.

2 – fixedPDF_alltop : Results for Wilson coefficients using the fixed-PDF set described in Sect 2.1 of the paper, which includes the top quark measurements (inclusive, asymmetries, W-helicity fractions, associated top, etc). For the fit of the Wilson coefficients we consider 3 different dataset scenarios:

3 – simulPDFEFT : Simultaneous fit of PDFs and Wilson coefficients as described in Sect. 6 of the original manuscript.

4 – simulPDFEFT_CMS2D : Simultaneous fit of PDFs and Wilson coefficients using the CMS 2D distribution discussed in Sect. 5.3 of the manuscript.

5 – fixedPDF_EFT :  Results for Wilson coefficients using a fixed-PDF fit obtained from a PDF-SMEFT fit. It is presented as an extra check of the stability of the results.

In these folders we consider up to 3 different scenarios:

  • alltop (for fixedPDF_cons, fixedPDF_alltop, simulPDFEFT, simulPDFEFT_CMS2D and fixedPDF_EFT): includes all the top data of this study.
  • ttbar (for fixedPDF_cons, fixedPDF_alltop, simulPDFEFT, and fixedPDF_EFT): includes exclusively the top quark pair production processes of Table 2.1 of the manuscript.
  • ttbarAC (for fixedPDF_cons and fixedPDF_alltop) : includes exclusively the top quark pair production processes of Table 2.1 and the asymmetry measurements of Table 2.2 of the manuscript.
